Virtual Immersive Synthetic Training for Attack Control
The VISTA AI Instructor is a highly adaptive and realistic training partner built on a closed-loop data lake that continuously evolves. This AI is informed by a combination of empirical lessons learned from real JTAC operations and strike/attack flight crew, verified anecdotal insights, and hard-copy doctrine from approved and authorized sources. By integrating multiple types of knowledge, the system ensures ultra-realistic instruction and environment generation.
VISTA models aircraft with platform-specific fidelity, differentiating nuances between A-10s, F-16s, F-15Es, and other CAS assets. This includes realistic sensor limitations, flight dynamics, weapon effects, and CAS stack behaviors, giving trainees an authentic understanding of each platform’s capabilities. The AI listens to and evaluates trainee communications, detecting errors, omissions, and deviations from doctrine, while providing real-time corrective guidance and post-mission coaching to reinforce learning.
The system is capable of generating dynamic, adaptive scenarios that introduce realistic failures such as degraded communications, platform malfunctions, adverse weather, and EW impacts. By continuously adjusting difficulty and injecting new challenges, VISTA prevents trainees from “gaming” the system and ensures each session is unique. After each mission, objective After-Action Reviews are generated, producing actionable feedback that feeds back into the AI’s knowledge base.
Hosted in the AWS Government Cloud and fully regulated to US government standards, VISTA supports secure, scalable, and optionally air-gapped deployments, with audit trails and role-based access control to safeguard sensitive information.
In short, VISTA’s AI functions as a continuously learning instructor, environment generator, and mission analyst, delivering realistic, adaptive, and evolving synthetic battlespaces for JTAC training.
VISTA empowers JTACs to train in dynamic synthetic environments that evolve with every rep.
At the heart of VISTA is an AI instructor trained on doctrinally sound material, empirical lessons, and anecdotal insights from the field.
VISTA differentiates between platforms so training reflects reality.
VISTA is aligned to US and joint CAS standards.
Accurate effects models and realistic friction shape every mission.
Every VISTA mission produces actionable feedback, which in turn feeds the system’s intelligence.

VISTA seamlessly integrates Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training, creating hybrid environments where JTACs interact with real-world assets, VR simulations, and AI-driven forces. Real aircraft, ground units, and trainees feed telemetry and communications into the system, allowing authentic interaction while the AI monitors and adapts the scenario in real time.
Virtual integration provides immersive VR environments with dynamic targets, weather, and terrain challenges, while constructive entities simulate aircraft, vehicles, and adversaries. These AI-driven forces respond to trainee actions, enabling complex, multi-domain scenarios without the limitations of live ranges or flight hours.
All domains are synchronized by VISTA’s AI, ensuring consistent timing, scenario logic, and deconfliction. After each mission, data from live, virtual, and constructive elements are fused into a comprehensive After-Action Review, providing actionable insights and feeding back into the system to continuously improve training for all authorized users.
